Just a few images from a Saturday Cricket match at Harpenden Cricket Club. This shot made a boundary for 4 runs. It landed a few feet from me.

Great shot for a 6.

The Britcar 500 gives you the experience of round the clock endurance racing because it begins in daylight hours and finishes in darkness, at 10pm.[imagebrowser id=16]
The Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit will be lit up by the headlights, glowing brake disks and hot exhausts of powerful GT cars, touring cars and production saloons. There’s nothing quite like the sight and sound of racing cars in the dark.[singlepic id=248 w=320 h=240 float=]
Leon Camier wins at Silverstone to secure title.[singlepic id=228 w=320 h=240 float=]
As it came down to the penultimate lap Camier was on the power out of Bridge and as the Airwaves Yamahas ran side-by-side down to Priory he held his nerve to brake later than Ellison to hold the inside line. Ellison tried to retake the lead from his team-mate over the final lap, but he was unable to force an attack, with Camier crossing the line first to wrap up the BSB title.

A dry line and a determined effort from Dani Pedrosa at the Donington Park circuit on Friday gave the Repsol Honda rider the fastest time of Friday afternoon, in practice for the British Grand Prix. Pedrosa clocked a 1’38.627 lap on his final lap of the day to continue his strong run of form from recent weeks, and take the early advantage ahead of this Sunday’s race.
Second quickest in the session, Casey Stoner recorded the fewest laps of any rider with 16 turns of the British track –some eleven fewer than Pedrosa. He was examining his Ducati Desmosedici GP9 in the garage whilst his rival was reducing his time by 0.245.
World Championship leader Valentino Rossi was third, ahead of Andrea Dovizioso and title challenger Jorge Lorenzo in a top five separated by half a second.
More than 380 classic cars have been confirmed for the HSCC Historic Superprix at Brands Hatch this weekend (4/5 July), and many have been testing on the Grand Prix circuit this afternoon (Friday), including several Formula One cars.

The FIA Historic Formula One Championship headlines the event, and features Grand Prix cars from the 1960s, 70s and 80s – including Niki Lauda’s 1975 Ferrari and James Hunt’s 1977 McLaren M26.

It was a changable day weather wise at silverstone on friday but it didn’t rain, so will Jenson doit? Red bulls looking very strong. Gave my new 5d MkII ago at sports photography for the first time, very impressed with the focusing, but my old 1D MkIII is still the best for F1.
I have added a Photobox ProGallery to my web site which allows the purchase of prints.
After a cold and foggy start the race meeting started at 10:45.
